A Supervised Living Facility for the Developmentally Disabled

Concern for Independent Living is a non-profit organization that owns and operates approximately three hundred dwelling units for the developmentally disabled as part of the New York State Office of Mental Health Operations. South Country, Patchogue is a two-story new building housing fifty apartments located on five acres in Patchogue, New York. The facility is arranged in four residential pavilions around a common courtyard and joined together by a two-story high entrance lobby. Each of the studio apartments features a private bathroom and kitchenette. The facility features a dedicated wing of administrative and common areas including: offices, conference rooms, a resident dining room with a commercial kitchen, activity rooms, laundry rooms, a lobby and seating area, and more. The dining room has a feature “curved-glass wall” with panoramic views while the entry lobby has exposed structural framing as a welcoming gesture.
