P.S. 21Q – Edward Hart Elementary School

Auditorium Upgrade

Originally constructed in 1962, Edward Hart Elementary School is a 3-story building with an approximate enrollment of 1,300 students. The 415 seat auditorium, which is regularly used for school functions as well as theatrical and musical performances, required a complete material and systems upgrade. Features of the design include full accessible design with wheelchair and ADA dedicated spaces, a wheelchair lift for stage access, complete historic restoration of the wood trim, new flooring, new lighting, and concealed in-wall electrical rewire.  The renovated auditorium provides a new modern finishes to match the art deco seating and ceiling.
