Medical Suite for Veteran Healthcare

Northport VAMC is a facility dedicated to providing treatment to veterans for substance abuse. Thousands of veterans are treated annually through the 24 hour facility.

Ting + Li Architects was selected to modernize the Oncology and Chemotherapy treatment suite to handle the demand. The design features a centralized treatment area, with several independent exam rooms, a waiting room, auxiliary office /records spaces and an accessible bathroom. The primary challenge was to select systems and finishes to address the heavy use. High traffic medical grade flooring, improved indirect lighting and ceilings, and updated furniture and equipment were all specified, providing the staff with the resources to effectively treat patients while maintaining the upkeep of the facility.
